Terry Richardson, Jessica Stam, Aldo

white background, sexy girl, disposable camera...staid weapons in Photographer, Terry Richardson's armoury.

Actually, I'm not certain he used a disposable cam here. Somehow, I don't think so.

I love these shots. I love Jessica Stam. I love Aldo. I'm on the fence with Terry Richardson's work, in general. They all share a raw quality about them that can be refreshing next to the multitude of heavily airbrushed fashion photographs. They can also be plain unattractive, like anyone with a crappy camera could've shot it without much thought. I know that's what he's going for, but still...

I can't stop looking at his works though. I suppose, more than anything else, that's what matters.

Weekend Getaway

Everyone needs a much needed break. Free from traffic, the crowded city and yes even technology. Last weekend a few of my college friends (plus 2 cute dogs) got together for a much deserved R&R 2 hrs away from the Metro heading south. It was just an overnight thing, filled with fun nothings.

Love, really is, all around

Sometimes I think THIS is the most wonderful time of the year. I love Valentine's Day, don't you?

I left my heart in Thailand

Last November, we decided to go to Thailand on a whim since we have a friend taking up his masters there. We love Manila with all our hearts, and none of us expected to fall in love with the place and the people.

Polyvore

If you like toying with clothes, a nice fashion based website is www.polyvore.com different from the concept of looklet.com, Polyvore is similar to what you can find in the pages of fashion magazines or a mood board as some would call it. This application has no dress me up models available, but the items and pictures are limitless...what i like more about this is that you can also style men's wear which looklet does not have.

sixteen there's still time for you

The trees, like lungs, filling with air.
My sister - the mean one - pulling my hair. ...
- from Cecilia's diary in Virgin Suicides, Jeffrey Eugenides.

I have two sisters, one older and one younger. And I'm the "the mean one."

This is Tabitha. My 16 year old sister. Doesn't she look a bit like Rosanna from http://www.littlemissdressup.blogspot.com/ ? I think she does.

Ysa and I took her shopping earlier that day. This is her, with her loot. The LBD makes her look older and more sophisticated. I think all 16 year olds need at least one outfit like that. But don't overdo it! Look at me, I'm 24 and I still dress like I'm 12. Especially since I'm back to wearing floral and babydoll dresses. The last time they were in fashion I was, in fact, 12!

I forgot to post a pic of the gorgeous pumps she bought that day. Oops. My only regret is that at size 5, it's too tiny that I can't ever borrow it. Unless I chop off my toes.

These are the times you wish they never grow up.

Cue the cuteness: "awwwwwwww...."

Happy Birthday, Gia

Gia Marie Carangi (January 29, 1960 – November 18, 1986)

Obviously, I'm a little late posting this; in any case here you go... some photos.

She doesn't look a thing like Angelina Jolie who played her in the movie. That, I believe, was a major miscast. I didn't much care for A.Jolie's performance either or how the movie depicted Gia.

When Cindy Crawford was starting out they called her "Baby Gia"
